I would guess that it's some rare & bizzare disease that has something to do with hair folacles & metals in the body. Nothing at all like what happens when you digest silver.

Wow! That is definitely a bizarre medical case. I'd be curious as to what the "wires" are made of. I would guess that it is very thick hair fibers. I know people grow thick hairs around their chest and their arm pits but I've never seen them this thick.
